2016 ART PRIZE FIELD TRIP
Students experienced the culture and diversity of Art by attending ARTPrize in Grand Rapids. ArtPrize is the World's Largest art contest with over 1,400 entries from all over the world. We are very fortunate to have this event in our own state. Students could speak with artists and discuss techniques and mediums. Some piece took over 1,000 hours to complete.

Karyn McConnachie Wins Kindle through MEEMIC Contest
Several students participated in Celebrating Art contest and six were selected for publication. The hardcover book showcases artists from all around the nation. The a.m. Graphics students are Taylor Kelly -Cros-Lex, Erin Arsenault - Cros-Lex, Angelica Jeffery-Deckerville, Tricia Campbell - Marlette. The p..m. students are Justin Schneidewind-Peck & Shania Raver -C.P.S.
BAILEY SELL - PECK HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR
The Sanilac Career Center Graphics program along with teachers Stephanie Stanley and Tina VanConant are proud to announce that Bailey Sell has been awarded two scholarships one for $14,000 from Kendall College of Art and Design-Grand Rapids and $18,000 from Central Michigan University-Mt. Pleasant
Her final decision will be determined upon upcoming scholarship opportunities. Currently she is working on three large pieces for another Kendall competition that takes place in March. She could earn up to a full ride scholarship. The themes of her works are Human Anatomy with actual 3D sculptures of the feet, the brain and the heart mounted on wood.
Bailey is a senior at Peck High School. Her parents are Merrie & Eric Sell of Applegate.
